Dr. Kim Eisenberg

Dr. Kim Eisenberg grew up in Sugar Land, Texas.  She received both her Bachelor's and DVM degree from Texas A&M.  A Kerrville resident since 2005, she founded Kerr County Veterinary Hospital in 2007.  Dr. Eisenberg is very compassionate about all animals, but her professional interests center on dogs and cats with a particular focus on internal medicine.  Her household is run by Clancy, an Australian Shepherd.  Mo, of course, lives and works at the office.  In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, running, ballet, and  yoga.



Melissa grew up in Lippstadt, Germany. She came to Texas as an exchange student and received her B.A. in English from Schreiner University (where she now teaches part-time) and then her M.A. and PhD in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Melissa is our receptionist and passionate about client communication. She grew up around animals and currently has 3 dogs, Shiloh (a Chihuahua mix), Ricochet (a Blue Heeler), and Andee (a Boder Collie mix). She also has countless horses, two llamas, a goat, a donkey, a parrot, and poultry. Melissa has worked around animals most of her life and shares her love for animals with her husband and son.



Caanan grew up in Kerrville, Texas, where he graduated from Tivy High School in 2012. Caanan is our vet tech and very passionate about helping animals, especially helping owners and dogs communicate better with each other. His goal is to become a dog trainer after gathering valuable experiences working at Kerr County Veterinary Hospital. He grew up around animals and currently lives with his wife, two daughters, and their three dogs, Annie (a Chocolate Lab mix), Bella (a Maltipoo), and Bailey (a Beagle). In his free time, Caanan enjoys walks in the park with his family and dogs, fishing, and cooking.
Kim grew up on a large ranch in Basalt, Colorado. She inherited her love of animals from her father who was a veterinarian. She grew up working with him on the ranch, surrounded by their many animals. She moved to Kerrville in 2018 to escape the cold winters of Colorado. Kim is our receptionist and dedicated to providing exceptional customer care. She currently has Fonzie (a Yorkshire Terrier), Strudel (a Standard Poodle), Chaplin (a Welsh Pony), Freddy (a KMSH gelding), and Mortamooer (a Texas Longhorn). Besides spending time with her dogs, Kim also enjoys riding her horse and spending time in nature. 
Mikala grew up in Kerrville, Tx and is a 2015 Tivy High School graduate. She showed pigs for 12 years. She is our vet tech, head nurse, and cat whisperer. Mikala and her husband love all animals. In addition to their three dogs Mixy, Butch, and Cannon, they also have Rock the umbrella cockatoo, Socks the ferret, four cats, and several reptiles. Mikala enjoys fishing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, and spending time outside. One of her favorite activities is taking her dogs to the beach. 
Rachel grew up in Willis, Texas and graduated from Willis High School in 2017. She moved to Kerrville to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Cellular Biology and play softball for Schreiner University. Rachel is our vet assistant and very passionate about the care and comfort of all animals, including wildlife. She plans to attend Vet school following graduation from Schreiner in May of 2020. In her free time, Rachel loves to go to the river with her friends.
